How to fold a paper crane
In Japan it is believed that if one thousand paper cranes are made, a wish will come true.
We, Japanese, send a string of thousand cranes to wish for someone's recovery -- getting better -- from illness or injury.
We call this folded paper crane orizuru.
And a string of a thousand cranes is called Senbazuru.
Senbazuru is also made to pray for world peace.
We hope there is no more war and no more Hiroshima.
We hope the world will be given peace, and all war shall stop.
Let's fold cranes hoping for a peace of the world!
